An Oklahoma Blogger.

When I first started blogging, I immediately remember searching for other Oklahoma bloggers. I wanted to connect, see what other women in my state were blogging about, where they were blogging from. I quickly came across the Oklahoma Women Bloggers site.

I immediately signed up and since that day, I've been an Oklahoma Women Blogger myself. I've enjoyed reading other blogs, meeting women along the way & building friendships. Blogging has been so much more than I expected it to be. When I first started my blog 2 years ago, I had NO idea that special relationships would be a part of it. Not just with Oklahoma women, but with women all over the country, heck the world. I have made "blogging" friends that I have already hung out with or would hop on a flight to spend the weekend with them in a heartbeat. It's something special. I'm thankful for Oklahoma Women Bloggers, thankful for the friends I've made along the way and proud to be a part of it.

Bigfoot Creative printed these awesome OWB shirts for us. They're a screen printing, graphic design and retail clothing store located in downtown Norman. They did a fabulous job. I love my shirt & I'm proud to wear it!

Have you connected with other bloggers in your state?

  1. I thought about joining a few blogger societies when I first started blogging but I never did. I have met a few awesome FL bloggers though! This sounds like a great group and your shirts are so cute!

I recently joined the Dallas and TX networks - but haven't participated in any meet-ups or events! I haven't connected with anyone yet, but it would be so fun to meet some of the locals!

  7. I haven't joined any official groups yet, but I've loved connecting with local bloggers (especially when they've turned into real life friends!). It's one of the best (and most unexpected) benefits of blogging.

  8. This is awesome! I wish there was something like this available to Wisconsin bloggers. It's so neat that you've made friends and have been able to network with other bloggers in your area.

  9. I have found some running bloggers from my area which I have found during races - its the coolest thing to see them in person... even when I'm sweaty & gross looking :)

  10. I love that you guys have a close knit group in OK! Our AWB isn't really like that here. One of our other blogging groups here focuses on fashion bloggers and their friends and disregards everyone else too, which is sad. Sort of like Mean Girls or some crap haha. I have my own little group that I hang out with and am so thankful for! Hooray for bloggers near and far!

  11. I need to connect more locally! I have connected all over the place but because of the move (I was connected locally in SF) I haven't done a lot of local stuff here!

  12. That shirt is so cute, and your pictures are great. I would love to find something like that here too. So that I could meet other Chicago bloggers and also attend some fun events. I have done some searches, but it's either you have to pay a membership, or it is just not what I'm looking for. Hopefully I will though! :-) I hope that you had a nice weekend too!!

I actually applied to a few Florida blogger groups - and no one ever got back to me haha I guess I'm not up to FL standard, so maybe I should move to Oklahoma and join you guys. 22. Okay that is so cool!! How did I miss this? I need to pay more attention to Facebook... Is it too late to order? The best part about blogging is the relationships for sure and YOU are a prime example. Love you, love your blog, love this post. :)
