The Positivity Project | Love Yourself.

Late last year, Amanda came up with this idea called Positivity Project, answering 4 questions sharing some positive thoughts about yourself. Women often tend to be hard on themselves more than anything, quick to point out the negative things over the positive. I thought this was a wonderful idea. A reason to praise ourselves, because by golly we need to love our beautiful selves! I've been meaning to do this post for a while, but I'm just now getting to it. So here we go...

Meet @ the Barre

1. Tell me something you love about yourself.
Ironic but I love my positive attitude in life. It really takes a lot to get me down or feeling negative. I'm someone who just feels beyond blessed to be breathing and living a wonderful life each and everyday. I never focus on anything negative, period. YOU run your life, if you aren't happy with something than you have to fix it. I believe a good attitude & a smile can really go a long way.

2. Tell me what you want to work on.
Well tying back to my last answer, sometimes this can also be an issue for me. I'm working on compassion this year. Sometimes I have zero tolerance for people, the negative Nancy's if you will, in certain situations and I need to be more considerate and compassionate at times.

3. Give someone a compliment and mean it.
Karly, you ROCK! She and I have followed each other from the beginning and I just love her! She's genuine & sweet, gorgeous, her blog is amazing, she's hard working and it shows, an awesome beauty & fashion blogger and she's a fellow dog mom, we get each other. If you aren't familiar with Karly, go pay her blog Miss in the Midwest a visit. You'll fall in love too, promise.

4. Tell me something that you are proud of, succeeded in or are just generally pumped about.
My lifestyle change is 1 thing in my life I'm very proud of. A few years ago I was overweight and decided to make a change. After years of trying all the wrong things, I made a permanent lifestyle change of healthier eating habits and being active, and now 45 lbs lighter I'm a fitness addict and couldn't be happier. I truly enjoy all things fitness related, can't get enough Pure Barre and weightlifting and I love to inspire & cheer on other women. You CAN do it :)

Welp, that was a little weird but you know what? We all deserve to pat ourselves on the back sometimes. So get to thinking ladies, let's sprinkle this positive dust all over the place!

Tell me what you love about yourself?

Linking up with my girl Joey today.

  1. I love the idea of spreading the positivity around! It can definitely be challenging to have patience with others who come from more negative places (I struggle with that as well). Also, I knew you were super fit but I had no idea how recently you made this big lifestyle change - that is SO inspiring, you look fantastic!

  7. With the state of my erratic emotions as of late, you can't spring this stuff on me at 8 a.m.! Mia, you made my day - THANK YOU! I continued to be blown away by the love and encouragement that this blogging world has provided me, and I especially can't thank you enough since we've been together since the beginning! And, duh - we totally do get each other. We are dog moms and beauty twins! Beyond that, you are such an inspiration to me and others with your positive outlook on life and the major lifestyle change that you did for yourself - I love that even after a few years, you remain dedicated to your health and that it's paying off! You're the best!

  22. You have no idea how happy I was to read this! You are so beautiful inside and out and I love hearing about your positivity! Seriously wasn't it the hardest/weirdest/rewarding post ever to write? We all do so much on a daily basis and we should celebrate it instead of feeling like we are boasting or bragging because we aren't! Shoot we are all like total wonder women!

  24. This was such a great idea, and I still need to get around to posting mine :-P

You're looking awesome gurlie, I had no idea you've shed so much weight. I also believe in the whole idea of changing your lifestyle as well, because it won't stick unless you make a lifestyle change which still allows you to enjoy things, but just in moderation.
