Your Lips New BFF.

During the recent Sephora VIB sale, I only purchased a few things. This one was an impulse buy at the register. I hadn't really heard anyone talk about this product, or any anti- feathering lip liners before but I decided to go for it and give it a try. I'm glad I did, it's awesome and truly makes wearing lipstick so much easier, especially when dealing with the dark shades.

As you can see, it's a clear liner. The best way to describe it is like a wax texture. You can't see it at all but you can definitely tell that it's working when you apply your lipstick and rub your lips together. It works as a barrier to keep the color locked inside those lines!

See it in action below - Pic 1, I just applied the lipstick and rubbed my lips together. Pic 2, I lined my lips with the No Bleeding Lips liner then applied the lipstick and rubbed my lips together.

Maybelline Divine Wine
Color used - Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte in Divine Wine

Of course, there are tons of lip liners I use and enjoy. The thing I like about this one is you don't have to worry about matching a shade of lipstick. Plus, I do feel like it keeps my color inside the lines better than a standard one. I'll still use colored lip liners though, I feel like this one is just a really good pick for bold lips.

Easy to use
Clear and can be used with any shade
Works perfectly to keep the color in
Doubles as a line filler as well

I feel like it will be gone quickly. When you roll the product up and use it, it flattens out in one use. These seems to be common with this brand.

There are actually several clear anti-feather lip products available and I bet they are all pretty similar. I will be trying more for sure, I'm definitely a fan of the concept! Here are a few more you can try out if you're interested but maybe want other options -

OCC Anti-Feathered Clear - $16 at Sephora
elf Cosmetics Lip Lock Pencil - $3 at elf cosmetics or Target

I'll be skipping out the rest of this week again, heading to OKC for a little NYE celebrating. Follow along on Insta here and have the best NYE! I'm looking forward to 2015 and getting back to normal around here.

*Reminder - The Monthly Faves link up is always the first Wed of each month, so the Dec favorites one will be live Wed 1/7. Mark your calendars friends!

Egg White & Chicken Sausage Quinoa Cups

A couple of weekends ago I made a breakfast dish for our work week that is easily a new favorite of ours. It's pretty healthy, easy, filling, delicious and saves a little time in the mornings. I'm always concocting dishes made with chicken sausages and quinoa, I can't get enough of either. Yum!

Healthy Breakfast

*makes 9 egg cups

6 oz egg whites
1 cup quinoa, cooked (I cook mine in chicken broth)
Large handful of fresh spinach
1 cup cheddar cheese (or whatever kind you prefer)
3 chicken sausage links, sliced up (image below of what I use from Sam's Club)
Sprinkle in a few dashes of garlic powder for seasoning

Preheat oven to 350 & spray a regular size muffin pan with cooking spray. Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl until they're mixed well. Scoop mixture into each muffin pan cup, you can fill them pretty full. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove and let them cool a little before removing them from the pan. Enjoy!

I put them in an airtight container and kept them in the refrigerator all week. We'd take 1 or 2 out and pop them in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds, so so tasty.

Here is the type of chicken sausage we use from Sam's, delicious and oh so flavorful!

Healthy Breakfast

Do you have any favorite breakfast dishes that can be prepared ahead of time?

I hope you all have the BEST Christmas with your families. We'll be spending ours in Kansas with my in-laws and I'm looking forward to some quality time away with our family. I'll be back next week with a new must have lip product. MERRY CHRISTMAS FRIENDS!

*Reminder, don't miss the $115 Sephora gift card giveaway! Also, I'm participating in a fun little loop giveaway on IG tomorrow so don't miss out. Follow me along on Insta here.

Ugly Sweater (Outfit) & $5 Gag Gifts

Last weekend our good friends Kristal & Robert hosted a fun ugly sweater/$5 gag gift Christmas party at their home. It was such a fun night, hoping they make it a new annual tradition... *hint hint*

First up, the gifts. I procrastinated and didn't have time to order any gifts so I decided to hit up Pinterest (seriously, what did we do without it?) and find something we could make. I found the following 2 ideas and thought they were pretty cute and something we non crafty folk could probably easily achieve. A trip to Hobby Lobby, some scrapbook paper and good ol' Picmonkey was all we needed.

The Reinbeer was all drank before the night was over. They all laid in the trashcan staring at me with their little googly eyes when I opened it. It was sad....

The cream soda was an accident, it's supposed to be root beer. Oops!

Next up, our outfits. Dustin knew immediately he wanted to turn one of his pajama sweatshirts that had deer on it into an "Ugly" Christmas sweater. We just went to Hobby Lobby and grabbed anything we could to transform his sweatshirt. Me, I headed to Goodwill to see what I could find. I had no luck with a sweater but found this semi-turtleneck shirt and red skirt and decided to just create the most obnoxious & tacky outfit I could. Complete with bells on the garland around my shoes. His sweater had bells all along the bottom, we were super annoying and jingly.

And yes, that is a naked elf on the deer. It had clothes, but why put them on... right? Ha.

Kristal created the cutest little photo area and props in her entry way. Such a fun & festive little touch. We all had fun with it!

I adore these girls, my sweet besties! Thank you Kristal & Robert for hosting such a fun party, we had the best time.

Have you attended any holiday parties this year?

Holiday Link-Up | Christmas DIY Decor

Remember last month when I shared my DIY TP Pumpkins & Thanksgiving Chalkboard for the holiday link up? Well, this month I'm sharing another DIY that Dustin and I made years ago after seeing something similar on Pinterest. Our Christmas centerpiece that we made is another piece of decor that I get so much enjoyment out of each year, I believe this is our 4th year to have it on out table.

Linking up with 4 ladies that I adore today!

Holiday Linkup

Products we used:
2 wine bottles, spray painted gold
Silver charger - Hobby Lobby
Christmas bulbs & beads
Epsom salt as snow
Small candle holder & tealight candle
Pieces inserted in wine bottles are from Hobby Lobby & Cracker Barrel

I have to share this months chalkboard too, I changed it up for Christmas and I'm sure enjoying it. People were asking about a chalkboard DIY when I shared last months, but honestly I just look on Pinterest for inspiration and then just kind of piece things together. No secret weapons or anything here!

What's your favorite Christmas decoration you have?

Billion Dollar Brows | Best Sellers Kit Holiday Deal

Best Sellers Kit

My mom told me for years that I needed to fill in my brows, like most kids I didn't listen. About 2-3 years ago I started playing with shaping & filling them in and low and behold, mom was right! Now I never skip doing my brows. Whether I'm swiping a tinted brow gel on or actually shaping and filling them in with a brow powder or pencil, they always get done. My look isn't complete without doing this step now.

I jumped on the opportunity to work with Billion Dollar Brows and try out their Best Sellers Kit. I was intrigued by their Universal Eyebrow Pencil, a brow pencil for all skin tones? I was also curious about the Clear Eyebrow Gel, I'm probably the pickiest person when it comes to brow gels. I use a couple of brow products that I feel are pretty expensive, so I was curious how these would compare. If they could potentially save me some money, but still be quality products that deliver what I need.

Here is what comes in the Best Sellers Kit that sells for $34.99:

Plus a free sharpener

If you bought each of these individual you're paying a lot more than $34.99, it's really a wonderful deal!

My final thoughts? When I opened the brow pencil, I didn't have high hopes. It looked so dark, how could it work on all skin types? When I applied it, it appeared lighter on my skin than what I would normally buy, ok now it's too light? After I formed my arches and filled in the sparse areas I flipped it over and started to comb & blend. Well, it actually looked great! It truly did blend in with my skin just fine. I was pleasantly surprised with this product.

I also LOVED the brow gel, and remember I'm picky. Brow gels are always too "goopy" for me, they're something I tend to splurge on because of that. The holy grail Maybelline one that everyone loves, I hated it. This one is great, not goopy at all and held my brows in place all day.

I have been using the highlighter underneath my brows and using the smudge brush to blend it out, they both work great. I'm not normally one to use a concealer above or around my brows, so I can't really give you my thoughts on that.

I think this is an awesome deal and I would recommend it. It's everything you need to achieve beautiful brows, boxed up in 1 affordable little kit. If you're in the market for some new brow products, if you are newer to brow love like I was or if you know someone who would love this for Christmas - go for it! If you purchase before 12/15 you will have it by Christmas Eve, plus when you spend over $30 you receive free shipping. Have any beauty lovers left on your Christmas shopping list? I'd love to try their Hint of TintBrow Boost next. This product is also available for purchase from Kohl's, online or in-store.

Also, they are giving away 30 of these kits so make sure you enter below for your chance to win one!

*This product was provided through Brand Backer, as always thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

Have an Extra Christmas Card?

Most of you are aware of my little brother, Christian's, accident that happened on 9/1/13 and that he and my parents have temporarily relocated from Oklahoma to Florida while he is receiving rehab. If you aren't familiar, you can read a little hereWith the holidays approaching, we're full of mixed emotions. We are most importantly thrilled, excited & thankful he's making progress and receiving amazing rehab. Some days can can be hard as well, knowing that we won't be together for the holidays, normal traditions won't be taking place and that Christian isn't well & enjoying the holidays as a normal 17 year old boy should be. This time last year he was barely even awake after being in a coma, so for him to be where he is now is AWESOME. I can't wait to see where he'll be this time next year!

There are 2 things that have kept my parents going throughout these past 15 months. Their faith & all of the overwhelming support. The support that comes in all day every day via the Facebook page from all over the world, there truly aren't words for it. It means everything to them and keeps them going daily.

I wanted to see if any of you would like to send my family a Christmas card this year? We've put the word out on FB and the local radio station has as well. We want to flood their mailbox with happy Christmas mail & words of encouragement. I know it would mean the world to my parents and it would put the biggest smile on Christian's face! So, this season as you're addressing your Christmas cards, if you'd like to toss one in for them :) Please feel free to share this post or anything as well, I sure appreciate it and you all for your constant love & support.

Mom posted this on the Facebook Sunday night and it broke my heart, let's lift him up & encourage him!

PS- Christian took his first 2 steps last week!!! PRAISE GOD! He's doing so good and making huge improvements, but some days are just hard. Follow along on the Facebook page here, videos are posted almost daily.

A Look at the Lorac Pro Palette 2.

*purchased by me

I knew this was going to happen. I knew I was going to fall head over heels for the 2nd Lorac Pro palette just like I did the first one. So now if you ask me what my favorite eye shadow or palette is, I'm going to tell you it's a tie between the 2 Lorac Pro palettes. You can see a look I did with the original one here.

Why do I love them so much? They are the creamiest, softest & most pigmented shadows I've ever worked with, great color selections, they blend so easy and they're great for traveling. Sheesh, I could go on!

I finally bought this one early last month when Ulta had their 20% off coupon. It features 8 matte and 8 shimmer shades and it is gorgeous! It's $42 and comes with a deluxe sample of their shadow primer, which is also my favorite. I featured both in my Only Pick 1 series eye post. So today I'm sharing a little peek inside and some swatches below.

L to R: Buff, Lt Brown, Cool Gray, Nectar, Plum, Navy, Charcoal & Black

L to R: Snow, Beige, Rose, Mocha, Chrome, Silver, Jade & Cocoa

I highly recommend the Lorac shadows. If you're in the market for a good palette, either one of their Pro palettes would be great picks. I own all of the UD Naked palettes too, and although I do enjoy them, I'd pick the Lorac ones over any of those. Heads up - if you've been wanting these palettes, Ulta has an awesome set for $98 online only right now that comes with BOTH palettes plus other goodies. I think their Online Only Ultimate PRO Collection would be a great item for your Christmas list...

Your thoughts on the Lorac Pro Palettes?

Lorac Nyx Maybelline Proganix

Proganix Anti-Fade Argan Oil + UV Protection (from last months Glossybox)
I've used this stuff almost daily and love the shine and smoothness it gives my hair. Plus, it's a heat protectant as well which is saving me a step!

Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipstick in Divine Wine
In my search to find the perfect dark wine red, I found this one. All thanks again to Casey Holmes. I saw it on her and the hunt was on. It's gorgeous and the perfect dark wine red!

NYX Butter Gloss in Devils Food Cake
Well, you know I love the NYX Butter Glosses but this was my first darker shade to purchase. I would call this the perfect effortless bold lippie product. It's a swipe & go in a hurry one... Highly recommend it ladies.

I'm teasing you... more to come on this Friday ;)

I've never been a hot tea fan, but the last year or so I've started to enjoy them more. I bought this around last Christmas and I've pulled it back out. I sure enjoy a cup with my am snack or at night. So tasty! Has anyone tried their Cranberry Vanilla Wonderland one? I'm going to be looking for that next.

Maybelline Divine Wine

I am still hooked on 1989 like last month, but holy cow Sam Hunt's album has also been on constant repeat all month long. I can't get enough. I love the entire thing, but if I had to pick some favorites they'd be- Take Your Time, Ex to See, Break Up in a Small Town and Speakers. So good guys!
