{Currently Using} Hair Products.

If you've been around here for long, you know hair is NOT my area. I'm constantly on the hunt for the miracle product, the one that basically gives you an entirely new head of hair. I know, it doesn't exist. You can read all about my hair probs here. I'm always open for suggestions ladies.

I've yet to find the miracle product, but I have found a few things that I really enjoy. Things that help me out and make hair life a little easier.

Shampoo & Conditioner
I know, SUAVE?! People say it's awful, but it just works for me and my hair. I can't explain it, not going to try. I've tried it all and I always end up back on the Suave train. The cheap factor is just the cherry on top for me.

Once a week use
I have very thick, coarse hair and I love to use thick conditioners. They aren't for everyone, but my hair just drinks up that extra moisture! I love using a thick "treatment" 1-2 times a week. I've been rotating between these 2 recently:

Wen Re Moist Intensive Hair Treatment - After Shay shared this as her winner in the hair mask experiment, I knew I had to try. It's a winner for me too. It makes my hair so soft, zero tangles, shiny and smells amazing. I shared it in my Aug favorites too. I've been using it once a week, it's the heavier more intense treatment out of the two.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle- I could use this daily, I love it and I love the results. Ah, the smell! This stuff has been around forever and it's a favorite for a lot of people. You guys, it's $2.99.

Styling Cream/Leave In
I use one or the other, I don't use both because my hair just gets greasy with too much product. They both deliver pretty similar results for me. Extra moisture, shine & softness.

Tell me what hair products you're currently loving?

  1. I love Alterna haircare products, so I'll have to look into that CC cream. That's fantastic that the Suave shampoo/conditioner works for you - I swear by their dry shampoo!

  3. Oh my gosh, I love Aussie products! I haven't used them in so long, I kind of forgot about them! I love the way they smell!

I use Beauty Without Cruelty Tea Tree Shampoo- it's SLS free and I need that because SLS does bad things to my hair :( It works pretty well but because it's SLS free it doesn't suds up as much and sometimes it feels like it builds up on my hair. So when I feel like I need to strip off the build up I will use good old Pantene just to kind of start fresh.

  4. I just use a sulfate-free color treated shampoo by Loreal and that is it. Thank you for sharing the styling cream and leave in though. I have thick hair and I feel like it gets dry in the winter. :-/ I hope that you are having a great day so far too! :-)

  9. I'm not loving anything - haha, Seriously for YEARS now I've been looking for good shampoo. My hair is so greasy it's hard for me to find anything. I have tried the no chemical one and those DEFINITELY don't work either. Maybe I'll try out some of these you listed! Thanks girl!

  10. I love finding great hair products! Especially when it's something from the drugstore that works really well for you! I used the JM argan oil for my hair, but think I might start using a leave-in conditioner again once winter hits.

  17. My husband loves the Aussi deep conditioner! I used to use it and noticed it seemed to disappear faster than it used. Turns out he had been using it every time he washed his hair because he loved the smell!! I use Arbonne hair care now (it's sulfate free and makes me hair feel amazing and healthy) but I still buy him the Aussie product :)

  18. I'm a cheap shampoo girl too! I have tried the expensive stuff but there's just no difference in my hair so why spend the money?!

  25. I've used Suave Professionals before - when they still made knockoffs to Paul Mitchell shampoos. They're practically the same, but Suave is MUCH cheaper. I'll have to try that Moroccan infusion line. I love Alterna hair care! But I have yet to try that CC cream. Great hair care routine!! :-)

  30. This is going to sound cray but have you tried pin curls and sea salt spray and like a smoothing serum all at the same time?
I know you have lion hair like me and lately I've been, not brushing it at all! And then I wrap it up in a towel on my head for a while, then pull off the towel and salt spray it and then smother it in serum and let it air dry and it has still been puffy, but not so puffy that i can't go out of the house! Its nice to not have to blow dry every once in a while.

  36. I wish my hair loved suave! I've honestly found the more expensive products work better for me, but my hair is really fine and breaks easily, so that probably has a lot to do with it. I love oribe, kerastase, and alterna products!

  37. I love the Aussie conditioner! I'm currently using a deep conditioner from Organix, I'm almost out of it. I liked it, it was good. But I'll be trying something different next time. For a leave it, I like the It's A 10...but it's priceyyyy!
