{Skincare} Routine & Currently Using.

Michael Todd moisturizers eye creams

Well, after this post you may think I'm crazy- I have a skincare routine that involves several steps, but it really does go fast and I'm kind of weird... I LOVE exfoliating, washing, toning and moisturizing my face. I kind of obsess over the way my face feels after.

I hear girls talk about how they go to bed with makeup on at night. I would die. NOTHING at all against it, hey to each their own ladies, but I enjoy my nighttime routine so much that I could never do that! It's like spa time to me. See, I'm weird. I'm sharing my steps and products with you today.

:: AM Routine ::

{Wash} I wash my face with my Michael Todd Charcoal Detox Deep Pore gel cleanser

{Moisturize} I apply a daytime eye cream, I'm currently using the Origins GinZing Refreshing eye cream. Then I apply my face moisturizer, the Philosophy Take a Deep Breath gel cream moisturizer. Sometimes I will apply my Michael Todd Antioxidant Carrot Multivitamin serum before my moisturizer as well (am & pm). I usually do this before I brush my teeth and do my hair, that gives it a little time to set in before I do my makeup.

:: PM Routine ::

{Wash} I use a makeup wipe and remove most of my makeup. Then I put a little of my Michael Todd Charcoal Detox Deep Pore gel cleanser on my Clarisonic and cleanse my face.

{Tone} I immediately use my Michael Todd Organic Lemon Toner. I use a toner because it gives me that extra clean feeling, really removes any last bit of anything left and refreshes my face.

{Moisturize} I then apply a night eye cream, I'm currently using the L'OCCITANE Immortelle Eye Balm. I follow this with my Egyptian Magic cream all over. (read more here or here)

:: Extra things I use/do ::

-I try to use a mask once a week. I am currently rotating between the Michael Todd Kaolin Mask and the Pumpkin Mask.

-I keep the Michael Todd Jojoba Charcoal scrub in my shower and use it on nights I don't use my Clarisonic.

-I have been using my Clarisonic almost every night. It says it's gentle enough to use twice a day, but I just do it once. It depends on your skin, you may do it less. My skin does totally fine with once a day, I am really liking it so far!

-If you have oily skin, I can't say enough good things about the Philosophy Take a Deep Breath moisturizer. It's the only one I have ever found that really sinks into my skin without feeling oily immediately or making me more oily throughout the day, I highly recommend it.

-This is not a Michael Todd sponsored post, I just really like their products and I bought the entire kit a while back, that's why I have so many. I would definitely repurchase, great products for a great price. Check out the kit here

-I use different eye creams and moisturizers during the day and night because I have oily skin. During the day I prefer lighter products. At night, I slather on thicker products to really soak in overnight.

Call me crazy, but is there really a better feeling than crawling into bed at night with fresh breath, a clean & soft face and a moisturized body?

I have no complaints on these products, but I also love trying new things. I'm always open to suggestions ladies, so...

Tell me your must have skincare products?
Do we have any of the same steps or products?

  1. You're going to look young FOREVER!! :) Thanks for the recs. While I don't go to bed with makeup on, I just wash my face twice with face wash and use face cream to moisturize and use a scrub about once a week. . My sister-in-law is constantly telling me now that I'm 30 I need to use eye cream, and after this post I may just start using some. I also use a scrub about once a week.

  6. I love the Clinique dramatically different gel moisturizer but you are really selling me on that Philosophy one! Last year I stopped using my clarisonic for like 6 months and my skin really was not happy- it could have been a seasonal thing too, but I think it makes such a big difference!

  8. I have been having so much trouble with my skin lately, so I am on the hunt for a new regime ... does the Michael Todd stuff help with acne? I've heard so much about it, so maybe I should give it a try! You also may like the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel ... it's been my go-to for years for the same reasons you listed for the Philosophy one.

  9. In the worst with a skin care routine!! I usually just wash my face and I use a mild moisturizer in the am because it helps prime my make up! But I've been looking for a good eye cream but they are so dang expensive for this tiny little pot and I'm so cheap hahaha! I have different brand in the spin brush too and never use it.. And it was expensive I need to get on that!

  10. There is no way I could go to bed with makeup on either! No matter how tired I am, it HAS to come off! Love the GinZing eye cream -- I use that in the mornings, too. What makeup wipes do you use? I've been looking for a good brand!

  13. I definitely don't go to bed with makeup on...I couldn't stand that either! I've been using a natural recipe that I made lately which is odd because it has honey in it but it seems to work. Thanks for the info on all of these! I still want a Clarisonic!

  14. Girl, I am the SAME way! I could absolutely never, ever go to bed with makeup on no matter how tired I may be! It looks like I need to check out the Michael Todd line. I've heard good things but never tried anything!

  16. I'm a pretty basic kind of gal when it comes to my skin care... an all natural eye makeup remover I make myself, Neutrogena facial cleanser, witch hazel as astringent/toner, Neutrogena moisturizer, baking soda paste once a week to exfoliate.

  17. Ooh interested in the charcoal wash you mentioned. What does the charcoal do? Please say it reduces all fine lines, black heads and pore size!

  18. I need to be better about my skincare routine....don't cringe but after a shower I just use one of those Noxzema face wipes and call it a night! Now that I am in my early 30s I know I need a better routine - especially with a newborn I am about to look and feel SO TIRED!

  22. Ugh. I can't even imagine not washing your face at night! I even wash my face before I go to bed when I haven't worn any make up. I've been using that origins' eye cream but I am not impressed. I've trying to switch to less expensive products and I've been loving the boots expert sensitive line at Target.

  23. I'm really looking forward do getting a clarisonic someday. I'm not in love with my eye cream right now, but I have a long ways to go before I'm through with it. I'll have to check out some other options next go around.

  24. I love the way you organized this post and I definitely need to give Egyptian Magic!

  25. That seems like a long process but then again we take time to care fore our hair and the rest of our bodies. Our faces are the first thing people see. I have never had a routine per se which is quite embarrassing because, hello! I'm an adult. I should have one! Wahhhhh :( I love reading about all the routines. I need to pick up some pointers. I never go to bed with makeup on though<----I'm totally lying! Ahhh! I so need to get better at this. I'll be looking into some of these products. I do like face masks and the refreshing feel after. Thanks for sharing!

  26. I do enjoy several Michael Todd products, that's for sure. Do you have a good eye cream that you would suggest?

  28. I've almost pulled the trigger on Michael Todd products so many times, the shipping is just so expensive to Canada :(

  29. I've been wanting to try the Clarisonic exfoliator. Worth it?? I have oily skin too, and right now I'm loving Josie Maran's Argan Oil and coconut oil. It sounds like an oxymoron to put more oil on an oily face, but surprisingly, it has helped keep me LESS oily. It's weird, but works for me. :-)

  33. Sounds like cool and refreshing skincare routine. I love to try this. My skincare routine cannot be complete without dermology products, pure and natural skincare products. Recently I've added up clarisonic aria into my skincare routine and honestly I'm amazed with the features. Amazing technology that really work.

    Thanks,
