Alright ladies, how many of you have seen the CND Vinylux Weekly Polishes? I had seen them only on The Small Things Blog but for some reason hadn't paid much attention. I think for some reason I was under the impression they still had to be cured with a UV light.
Then, I read about them again on Cassie's blog (here) I decided right away it was time to test them out for myself. So I went on Amazon and placed an order. You have to buy the Weekly Top Coat separate then you can buy a color polish, there are 76 color options. I wanted a pretty standard pink, so I went with Gotcha. I got them pretty quickly and it was time to put this baby to the test.
-I used a base coat. You don't have to, it's habit for me.
-I applied 2 coats of the pink polish
-I then applied 1 coat of the top coat
Guess What? It actually worked.
I got my first chip on day 8, 1 chip on day 8 is a WIN for me. With most polishes (Essie, OPI, China Glaze) I have a chip after day 3, 4 at the most. I always use a base and top coat too.
I tested it twice. The 2nd time, I wore it to Mexico. Guess what, I came home CHIP FREE. Everyone knows water and sand = chips. I always get a shellac manicure before a trip, but I'm sick of spending $30 for a one time polish that rips apart my nails. No more, this passed the test.
My favorite part, they aren't expensive. They're cheaper than Essie polishes! I ordered them off Amazon, the top coat was about $6.50 and the polish prices vary but are all under $8!
Removal? Came right off! No soaking, no tearing up my nails.
The only "cons" would be it's not a quick dry top coat. I'm pretty spoiled to my quick dry no waits, so when I use this I will just have to make sure I have some TV time afterward to just sit. It's a pretty thick polish as well.
I will definitely be buying more of these. They are my new trip/vacation go to's for sure.
Have you ever tried these? Do you think you will?
