It's All About the Brush.

Good morning ladies! Is it just me, or is this week hard for everyone else too? After 3 days of sleeping in, the 5am alarm clock is killing me. I swear it was 3pm before I actually woke up yesterday.

I am getting excited for my birthday weekend though!

I'm sharing my go to brushes with you today, the ones I pretty much reach for daily and what I use them for. Sigma and e.l.f for the win-

{Face Brushes}
e.l.f Kabuki Face Brush $6- Pressing my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder all over my face, after my foundation
e.l.f Blush Brush $3- Setting my under eye concealer, usually with Bare Minerals Well Rested
e.l.f Small Tapered Brush $3- Use for cheek & temple highlight
Sigma Flat Kabuki F80 $21- Holy grail foundation brush!
Beauty Blender $20- Blending my MAC Pro Longwear concealer under my eyes and other areas, amazing combo!

{Eye Brushes}
Coastal Scents Pro Blending Fluff $4.95- Crease Brush, applying color
Sigma Tapered Blending E40 $14- Blending, I usually reach for this or my Sonia Kashuk one
Sephora All Over Shadow- I got this on clearance, sorry it's not available anymore! I use this for my brow bone highlight
Sigma Eye Shading E55 $12- To pat color on my lids if needed
e.l.f Eye Crease Brush $1- LOVE this little brush to highlight my inner tear duct or line under my bottom lashes

What are some of your go-to brushes??

  6. Love this post since I'm in the market for some new brushes! I was debating on buying and elf powder brush or splurging on a Mac so I'm glad to hear you like the elf! Such a good price!

  7. I have heard nothing but great things about the Sigma Kabuki brush - need to get it!! Fun tip - TJ Maxx and Marshalls always sells the blender and some of the brushes you mentioned for much cheaper - if you ever need new ones!!

  8. I am definitely going to give some of the ELF brushes a try! I've never even thought to look there for brushes and I definitely need to expand my collection a little bit more. I love the F80 brush, but how do you clean it? I have the hardest time and feel like I can never get it totally clean.

  10. I love this post! I'm getting ready to purge and replace some of my makeup brushes, so these recommendations are good ones. I need to invest in more Sonia Kashuk brushes - I only have a couple, but they are great quality for the price! Plus, they are easily accessible. I still love my Sigma brushes, but I've noticed lately that some of my most-used ones are starting to fall apart.

  18. Real Technique brushes are my FAVE and you really can't beat the price! They're pretty much all I use. I've been wanting to try Sigma brushes, too - everyone seems to love them!

  19. I just bought an expensive Tarte kabuki brush to go with their powder airbrush foundation. Maybe I should give the elf one a try first? I love Real technique brushes too!

  20. i absolutely need new brushes, so yay!
    i have that coastal scents fluff brush, and i bought a set off them and i dont like any of them except the fluffing one. they just shed like crazy. i am so glad you showed cheaper elf ones, i would have been like whelp cant afford those if you showed all sigma. i like the idea of having a couple expensive brushes, but the rest cheap.

  22. Confession...I use the same elf brush for my bare minerals powder, bronzer and blush. I swear i'm nuts but i'm too lazy/cheap to get a brush for each one! Eek!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Ooh so you think the powder brush would be good for bronzer then? I need something better than my current Dollar Tree brush ha.

  24. I have that Real Techniques Blush Brush and I love it :) It's really the first one I ever used so I don't know what to compare it to but still. :) I need to get some of these others!

  27. Girl this post could not have come at a better time! I have been trying to organize all my brushes and see what I need and don't need plus what I need to add. I've heard amazing things about the Sigma brushes, do you recommend any other ones or stick with that one? I have a few ELF brushes, Sephora, Bobbi Brown, and of course BareMinerals.....I really need to do some inventory :-)

  28. That's a really great price for a nice Kabuki brush! Thanks for the tip! Since I'm The Wellness Wife, I'm au naturale most of the time, but my sister's getting married in November and I'm in the wedding so I've got to "brush up" so-to-speak!

  29. Love those nail colors! Can't wait for your birthday weekend!

  30. I've been a lover of the F80 for years now, I just picked up the Real Techniques sponge and it's been a bit different to get used to but I see it as a great tool for traveling. I'll have to see if I can find that Elf tapered brush here, it looks like it would be a great multi-purpose brush!

  31. I LOVE my Beauty Blender for foundations! I also own the F80, but reach for my BB more often. The E40 is one of my holy grail blending brushes!
    Great selections!
