{Thankful Thursday} Spring Overload

Happy Thursday loves.

We meet again for another Thankful Thursday link up. This week, it's very apparent I am still overly excited about spring being here. I did a lot of "spring-like" activities. What can I say, this girl likes sunshine, pastels and fresh scents. Don't we all though?

Hope you'll be linking up with us, this week or soon. We'd love to have you!

A new monthly focus. Thanks to my girl Maegen, I'm going to have new focus/goal each month for the rest of the year. Hopefully life, but we'll start small. So I started this month and joined Maegen's link up. My focus for April? RELAX. You can read all about it here.  Wish me luck. So far, so good. It is just the 3rd though...

Spring cleaning. Yes, I LOVE a clean house and actually enjoy days spent at home when I can clean/tidy/organize my house. I am totally aware I am not normal. I HATE dusting, but I'm ok with everything else. I spent some time this weekend doing this, nothing better than the after results. I used some Pinterest inspiration and redid our entry chalkboard too. I'm no artist, but I was pleased with it.

Trees blooming & spring Storms. I noticed Monday that all the Bradford Pear trees in our area bloomed. I love when this happens each year. This one is in our front yard and I just love it. I enjoy God's beauty! Also, I came out of the gym Monday to a freak storm that popped up out of nowhere and even included hail. I don't love hail, but I love spring storms. I snapped this pic after the storm passed.

Baking for the office. I love baking cupcakes. Fun fact-I wanted to start a cupcake business, but I got burnt out quick. So, I just bake them for my office and friends now. I made some, you guessed it, spring-y cupcakes this week. They were key lime and delicious!

Tell me something you're thankful for.

  1. I feel you on the spring cleaning! It was time to start working on the nursery this week so last week I spent time cleaning the rest of the house (seeing how things were stored in babies room and had to find a new location). Now I have a small pile of giveaway/garage sale. Afterwards I am always like, "Ryan, doesn't everything look so nice!" He is like, "....yes..." I think in his head he is thinking "What changed?" haha

  6. I wanted to start a cupcake business for a while, too!! Those cupcakes look sooo good! And dusting is THE worst.. it always brings on my allergies and I'm either sneezing or have a headache afterwards. Feel free to come clean my house while we're gone next week :)

  7. I've always though about opening my own cupcake shop/bakery! But like you said, the idea kind of burned out after a while after I realized just exactly I wanted to get myself into. Hope you're enjoying your clean and organized house!

  9. I love cleaning, there is just no better feeling than a clean house! And as freaked out as I am of storms sometimes...I am looking forward to some this spring. Just as long as they don't wake me up in the middle of the night.

  10. I ALMOST went to culinary school for baking and pastry arts! I don't think I ever could have managed from a business side, but I'm like you & really love doing it for friends-- those cupcakes look so good! I've been slowly but surely working on spring cleaning around here-- dusting is truly the worst! I always tell myself if I buy new cleaning "tools" it will be better, but it really never makes a difference :)

  14. Dusting is the worst! We have cluttered surfaces and I hate moving knickknacks around to dust under them and dusting those knickknacks.
