Morning! I'm excited to share a product review with you today, something I'm loving at the moment.

A little about the product, from Studio Gear-
Hydrating CC Cream transforms and enhances your complexion in an incredibly light, smooth formula. This foundation simultaneously fights aging, retains moisture, and covers and treats blemishes with a non-oily, perfectly radiant finish.

Key Benefits-
-Prevents fine lines and wrinkles with collagen-building ingredients
-Restores skin elasticity by promoting moisture retention
-Brightens and illuminates skin with a non-oily, complete coverage application

What you'll find on the box-
"Micro encapsulated pigments deliver a fresh dose of color that adapts to your own skin tone creating the most natural looking coverage. This lightweight, oil free cream is infused with Hydra-Extend technology that provides up to 72 hours of continuous hydration. Skin nourishing and brightening ingredients help to correct and maintain a youthful complexion"

BB Creams and CC Creams. They are everywhere now, but what are they?

BB Creams are beauty or blemish balms. CC creams are color correcting or color control. Both are lighter coverage although I feel a CC cream gives a little more coverage than a BB cream. They're designed for being an all in 1 product, most of the time. They are usually a moisturizer, primer, sunscreen, skin treatment, foundation and concealer all in one.

To tell you a little about myself, I am one that usually wears a full face of makeup unless I am at the beach, gym or home. Lately though, I've been doing less makeup here and there and seeing how I can pull it off. I've tried a few BB Creams in the past, but never really fell in love with one. I have oily skin as well, so I usually go towards products marketed towards us oily girls.

I've been testing out this Studio Gear CC Cream, and I'm really enjoying it. Each time I've worn it, I've put nothing on under it. No moisturizer or primer, which I always do. It's done great without both of those products.

I've tried it several different ways and I prefer it most with a dab of my Covergirl 3 in 1 foundation. Mainly because I felt like this is a tiny bit darker that what I need, so I mixed in a drop of my foundation and it's perfect! I've been using this more and more.

I went to dinner and grocery shopping with a friend Saturday and used this product again. I used the CC cream mixed with a dab of foundation, some powder and blush, a swipe of shadow and mascara and some pink lipstick. I felt put together but only took a few minutes to get ready, which I loved. I threw my 3 day old dirty hair up in a bun too. No judging, dry shampoo for the win.

Finished product- (see my sidekick in the background?)
I feel like mixing this CC Cream and a dab of my foundation give me a perfect airbrush finish that stays!

-Time saver
-Great finish
-Stays all day, doesn't make me oily (what I look for most)

-Color selection. I feel this way about most BB & CC creams. I feel like I will always have to mix them with a dab of my foundation in order to get the right color. Most only come in a few options, the lightest is always too light and the middle is usually a tad bit too dark. This product comes in 3 shades, I went with Natural which is the middle shade.
-I feel like the $34 price tag may deter people from trying it. It is a great product though, and you have to keep in mind it's something that is designed to replace other products.

Good news, if you're interested in trying it you can get it for 10% off using the code bloggercc here. If you have been wanting to try a cc cream, I would definitely recommend this one. I like it better than any other I've ever tried.

*I was provided this product for free to test out through Brand Backer, opinions are 100% my own.

Have you tried a BB or CC cream? Any favorites?

  1. The extreme moisturizer sounds like something that would work great for my belly right now, but I don't think it is used for that! haha.

  2. Perfect review!! I really am enjoying this CC cream so much more than I ever thought I would!! Love the photos you showed of it getting blended it!! Perfect Match!

  3. I can't wait to give a CC cream a try. I have been a long-time user of Garnier's BB cream, but I would like something with a little more coverage. Maybe I'll give this a shot! I've also heard the CC cream from IT Cosmetics is amazing.

  4. I do want to try this! I would probably have to mix for a fuller coverage though too since I have red undertones but I've heard great things about this! Thanks for the review!

  5. I never knew the difference from a BB & CC cream... now I know!
    Your skin looks amazing!!!

  6. I still need to try a CC cream, for some reason I never got into BB creams but CC creams are more appealing to me since they're color correcting. Sounds like a good product to try out & you look gorgeous!

  7. I just got Benefit's new BB cream and loved the way it looked (on the back of my hand haha). Looks like this one is doing great, it looks flawless on you!

  8. This looks really pretty on you! I actually have my review coming tonight, haha. My biggest complaint was the color selection, too- the lightest shade is too dark for me, but other than that the formula is nice and natural!

  9. Your skin looks so good! Love CC creams especially in the summer - my favorite is Supergoop's but I've never heard of this brand before!

  10. I use BB cream but have been wondering about the CC cream. Can I just say, thank you for explaining what BB & CC stand for....I've always wondered. I might have to give this CC cream a try next time I need more BB cream.

  11. I actually cannot get into BB or CC creams. I don't know why. Maybe I'm just to settled with my routine to change it up?!

  12. It kills me how beautiful you are! You look flawless! I've tried the Covergirl BB cream and I wasn't impressed. I used it at the beach a couple of times, but I really didn't feel like it did anything. Maybe I needed a better product or a darker color?
