Happy Friday, It's Road Trip Time!

Happy Friday loves. I have a lot of reasons to be excited today, so let's not waste any time.

Linking up with Lauren Elizabeth for High Five for Friday and A. Liz Adventures and her friends for Five on Friday.

The day has finally come, Dustin and I are hitting the road! We are heading out today for a 9 day road trip- traveling to the Grand Canyon and to Sequoia National Park in California.   Life has been hectic and crazy lately, this trip is coming at the perfect time. Just he and I, exploring places we've never been. I can't wait. Follow me on Instagram, I'll be sure to post along the way!

Saturday was spent with my sweet girlfriends celebrating Angela's birthday. We started the day with brunch on Brookside, mimosas were a must. That french toast with blueberries you see was mine, so good! Then we got manicures. Perfect girls day with my besties.

Because it was Angela's birthday weekend and mommy and daddy needed a date night, we got to watch baby Robert. He's so precious and such a good boy, Dustin and I sure enjoyed our night with him!

Snowed in Sunday = at home spa night. A much needed one at that. I finally got to enjoy one of my Lush bath bombs. Lights out, candles lit. Ah… bubble baths. Lovely mask selfie huh?

We tried 2 Pinterest meals this week, they were both a success! I try to incorporate a new recipe to try out in each meal plan, anyone else do this? Here are the ones we tried-

Baked Pesto Chicken

I hope you all have a great weekend! I will still be popping in during the week with some fun posts.

I'm off to finish packing. We've packed a lot of food, call us crazy but we don't want to eat out 3 times a day. We're used to snack food and lighter meals, so we decided to go that route. I think I'd get sick of eating out real quick. Give me some fruit, a loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter and I'm good for a while… Oh and a couple cases of water!

Other essentials I packed us- Quest bars, nuts, chips, applesauce, tuna for the hubby and fruit snacks for me!

What would be your road trip essentials?

  1. The nails are super pretty, i love manipedi girl time.

You are a rockstar about packing for a road trip. I'm a pretty clean eater, but for whatever reason when I go on a road trip I crave bad for me foods...and then I feel like dog poop. I know, so weird.

  2. Yay for your road trip!!! Can't wait for lots of Instagram pictures :) We are the same way - we always pack food. We love eating out for dinner but I don't need (or want to spend the money) to eat out for every single meal. Have sooo much fun! :)

  13. Hope you guys have an amazing time!! We are the same way when we travel. We bring an ice chest too. Several of our own meals. Our bellies just can't take all the eating out. Not to mention it is an easy way to make the travel budget go further!
