Touring the New Tulsa LUSH!

Happy Monday loves! Did everyone have an exciting weekend? We had a great weekend, we even got a little snow here in Oklahoma. We had dinner with some friends and saw Aziz Ansari Saturday night. It was a great double date night we'd been waiting on for a couple months.

But… the highlight of my weekend- You may remember from my Friday post, I said I had some fun plans that I would share on Monday? I went to visit and tour the new LUSH store in Tulsa, OK!
A couple weeks ago I was asked if I would like to tour the new store, um YES please. I have been waiting eagerly for this store to open for months. We only have 1 in Oklahoma and it was a few hours away. I love LUSH, but had only visited the location in Chicago and shopped online. I've fallen in love with any LUSH product I've ever tried, Buffy being my absolute fave.

I love everything about LUSH. In a nutshell, they use a lot of natural ingredients and are made fresh. I love that each of their pots and bottles have a sticker on them that tells you who made it, when they made it and when it expires. They're against animal testing, work with several different charities and buy fresh products from small scale producers all over to grow those communities. How great is that?
You have to check out the Charity Pot, 100% of the price goes to the charity that you select out of the several they have to choose from. It's a wonderful hand and body lotion that smells divine. I'm a sucker for cocoa butter.

If you use up and bring back 5 empty and clean LUSH pots with the recycle logo on it, you get a FREE Fresh Face Mask. I love programs like this!

I can't say enough positive things about the store and all of the sweet employees. I went in to meet with Cara & Denice. They are both the absolute nicest women. They made me feel so welcome and made my experience extra special and exciting. Cara got me started by showing me their haircare line. Their haircare line is the only thing I have not tried, so I am very eager to experiment and try it all out! Denice then took over and took me on an amazing and very detailed tour of the store. I loved every second of it and this beauty junkie was in heaven. We talked, laughed and Denice tried tons of products on my hands and arms. Again, heaven.

First we visited their haircare items- (Shampoos, conditioners, dry shampoo, treatments, etc.)

Next we headed to their body/moisturizing section- (Body lotions, body butters, massage bars, dusting powders, deodorants, etc.)

Denice tested out one of their massage bars on me, which included an amazing arm and hand massage!

Next we headed over to the shower/bath section to discuss keeping your body moisturized- (Soaps, gels, jellies, smoothies, perfumes, scrubs and bath bombs)

I asked Denice what she recommended #1 for keeping your body moisturized in this cold dry weather? She said she LOVES using Rub Rub Rub as an exfoliate in the shower, followed by Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie. She tested these products out on my arm, my hands were so soft and smooth afterwards. And the smell, yum. I knew these products were a must!

I love their Bath Bombs too, they are so fun. They have so many different choices to pick from. I feel like the Bath Bombs are one of the things LUSH is most known for. These things smell amazing and turn your bath all kinds of different colors. Who doesn't love to step up their bath a little?

Next we jumped into one of my fave areas, face/skincare items- (Masks, moisturizers, cleaners, exfoliates, toners, lip balms, toothy tabs, etc.)

Their masks are so fresh, they have to stay refrigerated and are only good for 21 days. Now that is some true and healthy food for my face. Literally! To be honest, just within the last year year or 2 I have really started caring more and more about my skincare items. I am not getting any younger, why wouldn't I want the best stuff for my skin? Learning more about all of their skincare items was so exciting for me.

One of my favorite experiences on my tour was the Emotional Brilliance Wheel

I had never done this before and it was such a cool concept to me. Denice told me she was going to spin the wheel and not to look at it. Once it stopped, she told me to point at the first color my eyes went straight to. We did this 3 times. Then she picked up the color circle to reveal the word on the bottom of each one.

These 3 words and what they meant sum me up perfectly, they couldn't be more accurate.

#1- Passionate -My strength
#2- Believe -Sometimes I could use more of
#3- Perspective -My total outcome, how I get things together

Out of the 3 colors, Perspective was my favorite color. She put this on me as a lipstick and I loved the color and cream texture. If you visit the store, make sure to spin the Emotional Brilliance wheel. I definitely want to try out more of their Emotional Brilliance and Color Brilliance cosmetic items. They are on my quickly growing wish list!

Ladies, Valentine's day is quickly approaching. They have some of the cutest valentines day products that would make such cute gifts.

Here are the products I left with on Saturday. Man was it hard to narrow them down!

Curly Wurly Coconut Shampoo
Veganese Conditioner
Seanik Shampoo Bar
Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie
MMM Melting Marshmallow Moment Bath Melt (Seriously, the smell is so delicious, you can't help but mmm)
Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub
And a whole lot of samples, thanks Denice!

I will be going back to LUSH on Feb 22 for their Grand Opening party. If you're in the Tulsa area, you can like them on Facebook and RSVP to the party, it's from 12-5 that day. I can't wait to go back and play some more!

Thank you so much to Cara and Denice for truly "rolling out the red carpet for me" <--- as Cara said. You girls are amazing and I sure had a blast in your store.

*Curly Wurly, Veganese and Seanik were gifted to me. I was NOT asked to write a post, my thoughts and opinions on LUSH are 100% mine. I just love the store, products and staff.

  2. Oh my! It looks so fun! The thing about Lush is not only the products great. I love the shopping experience!! I have my eyes on a few items myself for when I go in. I have 5 pots to trade in so I am super excited bc I haven't been able to get a face mask on my travels. The shampoo bars seemed so weird to me at first but I loved them! I saw the color wheel in their magazine. I am looking forward to doing that! Oh I just love this place! :) Haha! I can't wait to see some of your reviews on these products!
