Happy Friday! {Friday Linkup}

Good morning and happy happy Friday! I get rather excited for Friday. I wake up with a pep in my step. They're laid back and just knowing the next 2 days will be spent having fun and not working makes me happy.

Sharing the highlights from my last week with you today, linking up again with Lauren Elizabeth for High Five for Friday and A. Liz Adventures for Five on Friday.

{one} We joined our friends for dinner at The Rusty Crane in Tulsa, one of our faves. Then we had tickets to see Aziz Ansari. It was a great and funny show. Great date night! We were attempting to get a pic and got a few crazies before accomplishing a good one... Love that silly boy.

{two} Touring the new LUSH store in Tulsa was so much fun! I loved the whole experience and getting to spend so much time in the store with the sweetest ladies showing me around. You can read all about it here

{three} Dustin and I decided to take a week long road trip. A get in the car and drive with no hotels booked road trip. I can't wait. We need some good quality time away and together. We are going to the Grand Canyon and to Sequoia National Forest in California. We did have to book a few nights in Sequoia, because there are only a few choices inside the actual forest and they fill up fast. We picked Wuksachi Lodge, I can't wait to be away and disconnect for a while with my love in God's beautiful country.

{four} I had to run to the store on lunch and saw they had their Cadbury Mini Eggs out. YES PLEASE. I have to get these every year when they are out, so stinking good. The mini bags are perfect size. Am I the only one that flips over these?

{five} Kristal and I were supposed to attend a Blog to Business class taught by Kristy and Sarah Tuesday night. Unfortunately the class got rescheduled due to weather. So what did I do? I went home and cooked three new Pinterest/blogger recipes! Not sure what got into me... Even better though, they were all a success! What are the odds? I've definitely had my share of Pinterest fails.
1- No Bake Breakfast Bars  from Julie over at Peanut Butter Fingers. I love these, they remind me of No Bake Cookies. I doubled the recipe, used peanut butter instead of almond butter and added flax. I will make these again, they make a perfect snack for us to grab.
2- Sticky Sesame Chicken  from Six Sisters. This was delicious, but it's pretty sweet to me. I couldn't eat a ton, which is not a bad thing. Dustin loved it! I used Panko covered chicken chunks and brown rice.
3- Peanut Butter Granola, another from Julie @ Peanut Butter Fingers. YUM. So easy and tastes delicious. We've been eating it mixed in with vanilla Greek yogurt.

I have several healthy recipes from Becky over at Olives n Wine pinned to try out too!

I saw this today, who's excited?!

One more thing- below was my attempt to have my hubby get me this kitten....

It didn't work :( Seriously, look at those cheeks!

Have a great weekend everyone!
