Quick and Easy 4th of July Nail Options

Hey loves! I wanted to give you a quick and easy few options to be a little festive this week with your nails. I am excited about the 4th, we'll be swimming and cooking out with all our best friends.

Here are 4 different looks for you to try, just different variations of the same style. You could use any color variation, just some ideas :)
Look #1 is using only a dotting tool to put some polka dots on an accent nail. Remember, if you don't have a dotting tool you can use a bobby pin or even a toothpick.
Look #2 is using a dotting tool to make a star or flower design then I added a little red nail jewel to the center of that
Look #3 I added red and blue nail jewels to the silver accent nail
Look #4 is not using any tools at all, just a simple multi color nails

Here are the polishes I used for these looks:

Here are the dotting tools and nail jewels I used for these looks:
I bought both of these on eBay for under $3, great deal and fun to have on hand!

Here are a couple of NOTD pictures from my week
I'm loving the leopard, can't help it...

Essie "Play Date"

And, I'm going to throw in a pic of my dog because her cuteness kills me and I am an obsessed dog mom.

Hope everyone has had a great weekend. I went to see The Heat with this lovely lady tonight, hilarious. We definitely laughed the entire movie.

My Faves: Cheeks!

It's the weekend again and boy was I ready for it! I'm blogging tonight on my new MacBook Pro and I have to say I am loving it so far. I knew I would, but for some odd reason I was nervous to make the change. I have an iPhone, iPad and an iPod so I've been on the Apple train for some time, but still I was nervous. I am glad I did it though, my old dinosaur of a computer was not cutting it anymore. I found myself yelling at it nightly and the fact that I felt like I needed a bottle glass of wine after each blog session was a clear sign it was time for an upgrade. Don't worry, I didn't drink after each post, just felt the need to!

I'm pretty excited about this posting, I love blush and highlighters. It's kind of my weakness. Here, have a basket full of cheek products!

Ok but really, I broke it up into 3 categories for you, let's start with bronzers.

1- e.l.f. Contouring Blush & Bronzer in St Lucia This stuff is $3 at Target and I love it. Both colors have a sparkle to them, but not overpowering. By sparkle I mean wear this on a day you want some glitter on your face. You really can't go wrong with this stuff though, e.l.f for the win!
2- LORAC TANtalizer Baked Bronzer Mini $7 at Sephora This bronzer has a pretty deep gold tone and shimmer to it. I can't use this very often, I am a pale skinned girl. I wish I had tan skin, heck I just wish I could get a tan period. I get red, does that count? This is a great at the beach bronzer, and I love to dust some over my chest and arms after I've applied a bronze glow lotion. Moral of the story, take this stuff to the beach with you :)
3- Benefit Hoola Bronzer I got this in a little Benefit value pack I got from Ulta recently. I was excited to try it because everyone raves about it. This is THE bronzer to have in your collection for contouring your face, it's perfect for that. It's matte and blends beautifully and won't make your skin look muddy. Anyone have any good tips or tools for contouring, I still feel like I struggle with it a little. I feel like this kind of goes back to my pale white skin though. Darn those Kardashian beauties....

1- Benefit High Beam I got this in a benefit value pack as well. I am a big fan of those, I like to try numerous products out for a cheaper price. This is a pink tone liquid illuminator. I have finally kind of got the hang of these liquid illuminators recently. I use this after my foundation and before my powder. If I use it after my powder it just wipes my powder away. These are great to use for a quick highlight and I find they have great lasting power.
2- NYX Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator in Gleam This one is a bronze tone, better for darker skin. They also make this is a pink color that I hear is a good dupe for the High Beam. They were sold out so I could only try the gold one.

Highlighters make me so happy <3 ahhhh. I am obsessed with them all! (The Mary-Lou Manizer is extra amazing though)
1- NARS Blush in Satellite of Love from Sephora This is actually a blush, but it's a highlighter to me.
2- The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer you can buy this here The Balm or here Nordstrom This is a sample size I got in an monthly subscription box but I will 100% be buying the full size when I run out.
3- MAC Powder blush in Honour Again a blush, but a highlight to me. Beautiful color, kind of heavy glitter though.
4- Sephora MicroSmooth Baked Luminizer in Light Beam This has a very light pink tone to it, beautiful! Pretty shimmery but not real glittery. Just an FYI, the lady at Sephora told me the other shade they carry of this, Stardust, is a dupe for NARS Albatross. That is a good one for you tan skin ladies!

Blushes, also my fave! These are some of the ones I own that I reach for most often.
1- Rimmel in Autumn Catwalk (drugstore) This one is awesome because those 3 different shades blend together to make 1 perfect color. It's a perfect peachy pink with a beautiful shimmery pale pink to top it off. Ah, I just LOVE this blush.
2- MAC Mineralize Blush in Dainty I bought this recently and have quickly fallen in love. I love the light shimmer it has to it. Those mineralize blushes get me every time...
3- e.l.f. blush in Twinkle Pink Another great $3 Target purchase. Can you tell the color of blushes I prefer?? Peachy pinks rock!
4- Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour blush in Glisten from Sephora These blushes, well the whole Amazonian line are great. They really do last you all day! This one isn't super pigmented to me though, you just have to use a little more product for more payoff.

Last, I wanted to share this little gem. It's a great buy, good color variety and great pigmented blushes. I think this is a good purchase for someone who doesn't own a lot of blush and wants to add to their collection and experiment a little but not spend a lot of money.
This is the Coastal Scents 10BlushPalette from Coastal Scents it's only $12.95 and worth every penny!

Ok, it's 1 am and I am tired, off to bed I go. Extremely excited that I get to have a non interrupted sleep in session in the morning. Not setting an alarm makes me happy.

Would You Rather Tag: Makeup Edition

I have another fun tag for you, this is the Would You Rather Tag, I got this one from Emily's Beauty Broadcast blog, love her blog and YouTube channel! Enjoy :) This one really got me thinking...

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
Ouch, well... I think I would say I would rather lose all my mascara, eyeliners, lipsticks and lip glosses. I tend to invest more money in nice eyeshadows and eye palettes. Man I already think #1 is pretty unfair.

2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
Um this depends, is it going to grow back?? I am going to say chop it all off, why not?

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
Pink, it looks better on my super white skin! Coral looks better on people with a tanner skin. Just my opinion..

4. If you had $1,000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Makeup 100%, no doubt. A $1,000 makeup shopping spree = my dream!

5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?
I'm going to say lipstick as eyeliner, I think I could make it work. Black or brown eyeliner on my lips, eh I don't think that would fit me.

6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Sephora for sure. I LOVE MAC, don't get me wrong, but Sephora carries all my favorite brands!

7. Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
One lip color! I am definitely more into eyeshadow than lip colors. One eyeshadow color for the rest of my life? That makes me sad just thinking about that!

8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in the summer or summer clothes in the winter?
Summer clothes in the winter. I get kind of moody when I get super hot. (My husband would probably use a different word) If I had to wear a sweater in the summer someone would get hurt. I also get moody when I'm hungry, "Hangry". I promise I'm a happy person though, 99% of the time...

9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Bright nails, bright nails make me happy!

10. Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
Doesn't this kind of relate to questions #7? I'm an eye product lover, so my fave lip product would get the boot!

11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
A ponytail for sure, I pretty much always wear it in a ponytail. Have I mentioned I don't like my hair?

12. Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip gloss?
Never use lip gloss again. I enjoy painting my nails! Now chapstick on the other hand, I could NEVER give it up. Chapstick addict, right here.

13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or Sharpie them in everyday?
This question scares me. These are awful options! I don't even want to answer this, but I guess I have to. I should have just deleted this question, you'd never know. I guess I'd Sharpie them in, but I would be on a hunt for a light brown sharpie and a "Sharpie your brows in" tutorial for sure!

14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
Nail polish. I love my nail polish, a lot. Makeup wins though, hands down!

I'm working on a My Faves: Cheek Products that will be up Friday so stay tuned!
Hope you're week is going good so far & thanks for reading,
Mia

Easy Leopard Nail

Happy Sunday! Hope everyone has had a great weekend. My day has consisted of church, ice cream with the hubby, computer shopping and Sephora. A perfect day for me! I wanted to pop in and share a quick NOTD {Nail of the day} blog post because I am loving it and wanted to share!
I decided to try a leopard nail yesterday after wanting to for a long time. I thought it would be hard but it is so easy, and I am seriously in love. I just did an accent nail to start out with. I am a lover of accent nails, love the pop they give to a manicure. So here is how it turned out and what I used to create it. Keep in mind, you can do a ton of different color combos and you can create the leopard print with any color combo as well!

1- First I applied Sephora by OPI "Read My Palm" to all my nails except for the accent nail. Then I applied Julep "Debra" to the accent nail. I let all my nails dry.
2- Then I used one of my dotting tools, one with a medium size ball, and applied a few little dots of a darker brown tone on the accent nail, I used Avon "Nocturnal". I say "dot" but I just kind of splashed it on there, not a perfect dot. Let the spots dry.
3- Then I took a black polish, Rimmel "Black Satin", and the opposite side of that same dotting tool with a pretty small ball and traced the brown spots I just created. These don't have to be perfect at all either. I even threw a few black marks on the nail as well.

So easy, and so cute!

I got my pack of dotting tools on eBay for about $3. If you don't have dotting tools you can always use the tip of a bobby pin instead.

I am off to go for a run, hopefully I don't have a heat stroke out there! I put a new playlist on my ipod that consists of Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas and some Britney. Perfect running music ;)

Question- My hubby and I were looking at laptops today. We are thinking about taking the plunge and getting a Macbook. I would LOVE to hear any suggestions/opinions/experiences from anyone!

Recent Purchases: Hits & Misses

Hey guys! I am so excited it's the weekend, I pretty much live for the weekends. I love having time off work and resting at home with my hubby. Any big plans for the weekend?

Today I am going to share some recent purchases of mine. Some are hits that I've fallen in love with and some are misses in my book. The purpose of sharing the misses? These are some recent hyped up products, but I just didn't fall in love with them. Wanted to, but I didn't. Reasons for sharing the hits? Because I think they are worth buying, so of course, I want to share! What should we start with first...

HITS
1- Revlon Lash Potion (Drugstore) I bought this stuff for 2 reasons. 1) I was seeing and reading some pretty good reviews on it and wanted to try it. I liked the fact that is a volume and length mascara. 2) Ummm look at this packaging. I am a sucker for packaging and this pink/purple/sparkly one looked fun! I really like this mascara a lot. It does exactly what it says, lengthens and gives volume.
2- Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain (Drugstore) This stuff rocks!! This color is "Crush" but I have it in a couple now, this is my fave though. Again, exactly what it says. Balm. Stain. Balm texture that stains your lips for long wearing color. It is a matte finish but you can throw a gloss on top for a little shine too! I am a chap stick lover so I enjoy the balm texture. Only negative to me is they don't have enough colors to pick from. Come on Revlon, give a girl more options!
3- Bath & Body Works Forever Red Rollerball I hit up the semi annual sale BBW has been having the other day and this rollerball was at the checkout for $5 so I thought I'd try it. Yep, I'm hooked. I am a fan of rollerballs because you can throw them in your purse and they are great for traveling. I am NOT good at trying to explain smells, so here is what BBW site says it is: a passionate blend of pomegranate, red osmanthus and vanilla rum. It smells good people. By the way, I just went to smell it, it's all over my upper lip. Oops, fail.
4- NYX Stay matte but not flat powder foundation (Ulta) This stuff is a new fave setting powder for me. It hasn't replaced my Rimmel Stay Matte powder, but it's a close second. It is a powder foundation so for someone who wants light coverage you could just wear this. I like full coverage so I use this as a setting powder over my foundation.
5- Wet n Wild eye shadow trio in "Silent Treatment" (Drugstore) I posted a recent picture of a look with this, LOVE it. I am going to just keep talking about this stuff, sorry can't help it. It's $2.99, has great pigment and lasts all day. See, look how pretty!

MISSES
1- Wet n Wild Fergie Shimmer Palette in "Rose Champagne Glow" (Drugstore) I really wanted to like this stuff for a highlight, but not all Wet n Wild stuff is a hit. I feel like I get zero color payoff from this. It was under $5 for a huge compact, disappointed but not a huge loss here.
2- Physicians Formula Mineral Airbrushing Pressed Powder (Drugstore) If you have dry or combo skin you may like this stuff. Not good for oily skin though. I felt like it just got cakey throughout the day and my skin got pretty oily. My own fault though, I know better than to stray from a mattifying powder.
3- Almay Get Up & Grow mascara (Drugstore) I tried this one time and never again. My hubby and I went shopping after work one evening. I got home and I had mascara all over the tops of my eye lids, around my brow bone. I said "Did I have this all over my eyes the whole time we were shopping?!?!" He started busted up laughing! Lessons I learned? Don't wear this mascara again and my dear sweet hubby can sure be a jerk sometimes! He's lucky I love him though.
4- NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil (Ulta) I bought the "Milk" color to use as an eyeshadow base, to make the color really pop. I bought the "Iced Mocha" one just because it looked pretty. Don't waste your money, they crease pretty bad.
5- Benefit Stay Don't Stray Eye Primer (Ulta or Sephora) I love Benefit products but this one just didn't work for me at all. I got this in a little pack of Benefit items. It creased bad, like really bad. I was so disappointed.

Hope you enjoyed my recent hits and misses! I am going to watch The Bachelorette now. I can't ever seem to sit and watch a 2 hour show during the week so it's kind of become my Friday night routine to watch it then. Me and the pup cuddle up and watch Des fall in love. Speaking of my pup, she had to go to the vet this afternoon for her yearly shots and heartworm test :(
Poor baby, she didn't enjoy her visit. She is going to get some extra cuddles tonight, she deserves it!!

My Faves: Everyday Eye Products

Happy Saturday! I have enjoyed my day so far. Slept in, organized my closet and now going to share a little about my fave everyday eye products! These are the products I reach for on most days when doing my eye makeup, just my usual go to's on a normal day to day basis. So let's get started!

Bases/Primers
I always put a shadow base or primer on before I start my eye makeup. This helps to make the shadow stay, the colors pop and keep your look from creasing. These are the 5 I reach for normally. I pick one depending on my colors and look I'm going for that day. The Maybelline color tattoo line is really a great product to use, and an added bonus that it is a drugstore product and not expensive. I would say the MAC Paint Pots and the Color Tattoo line are very comparable. Really just depends on the look you're trying to achieve.

1-MAC Paint Pot in "Painterly" (Matte), MAC Cosmetics $18.50
2-Maybelline Color Tattoo in "Inked in Pink" (Shimmer), Drugstore about $7
3-Maybelline Color Tattoo in "Barely Beige" (Shimmer), Drugstore about $7
4-Maybelline Color Tattoo in "Bad to the Bronze" (Shimmer), Drugstore about $7
5-Maybelline Color Tattoo in "Tough as Taupe" (Matte), Drugstore about $7

I recently picked up a sample of this stuff at Sephora to try. I'm still working on my sample but I plan on purchasing it after I am out. It definitely makes your shadow stay put all day!

Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Sephora or Ulta $20

Eye Shadows

1-Urban Decay Naked2 Palette, Sephora or Ulta $50
This palette is a splurge... but Urban Decay are great shadows, it packs a great selection, great color payoff, and a great travel companion to have!
2-Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette, Sephora or Ulta $27
I was not sure when I first started seeing this palette, but I am so glad I bought it. The colors create the most beautiful eye, really my favorite! I love matte shadows and these are all matte except for 1 and it is a perfect highlight for your brow bone and inner eye area.
3-Wet N' Wild Color Icon in "Walking on Eggshells, Drugstore $2.99
These are cheap and great! Most people look right past Wet N' Wild because well they are so cheap. But a lot of their eye, cheek and lip products are great quality! The cost is cheap, but the product is not! This is my "in a hurry" go to shadow pick because I get a complete eye with these 3 colors quickly. You can see they are marked for your eyelid, crease and brow bone.
4-MAC Sable and Satin Taupe, MAC Cosmetics $15
These have always and will always be my 2 favorite MAC shades, I just love them. They are beautiful brown shades to own!

Brushes

These are just my favorite shadow and crease brushes that I use daily. There are 3 crease brushes and 2 shadow brushes.
1-Sephora All Over Shadow Brush
2-Sigma Eye Shading E55, Sigma Beauty $10
3-Sigma Tapered Blending E40, Sigma Beauty $12
4-Coastal Scents Pro Blending Full 250, Coastal Scents $4.95
5-Sonia Kashuk Blender, Target (I can't find it online, sorry!)

Mascara

I have always been a L'Oreal Mascara fan. Throughout the years, my faves have always been L'Oreal! Great quality, inexpensive, and perform great!
1-L'Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions Mascara, Drugstore about $7
I can't say enough good things about this, 1 coat and you are good to go. Love this lengthening formula.
2-L'Oreal Voluminous Full Definition, Drugstore about $6
This one is more thickening than lengthening, so just depends on your preference.
3-Benefit They're Real, Sephora or Ulta $23
This is a sample size I received. I am still trying it out but so far loving it!

Eye Liners

Liquid:
1-Jordana FabuLiner Liquid Eye Liner, Walgreen's $1.99
This stuff is amazing. Glides on perfectly and stays on all day!
2-Maybelline Line Stiletto Liquid Liner, Drugstore about $6
This stuff is great too, I honestly can't say which one I like best. I just rotate them both right now.

Pencil:
1-MAC Eye Kohl in "Teddy", MAC Cosmetics $16
This is a beautiful bronze brown that I have loved for years. I've never found any color like it!
2-MAC Eye Kohl in "Smolder", MAC Cosmetics $16
A great black liner, I've used this one for years too.

Well I hope you've enjoyed my favorite everyday eye makeup!
I am off to get ready now, I have a date tonight with my hubby. We came up with a plan for each one of us to 100% plan a date night once a month, no help or suggestions from the other. This month I'm on, so tonight I'm taking him to dinner and to see the new Superman movie, he'll be excited for the movie for sure!

Ipsy Glam Bag: June 2013

I am going to start posting each month after I get my Ipsy Glam Bag for the month. If you aren't familiar with what an Ipsy Glam Bag is, it is a monthly subscription to a cute little bag full of beauty products you receive around the middle of each month. The best part of this? It's seriously $10 a month! $10 people, That is nothing, a small cost to pay for a hot pink bubble mailer full of beauty product perfection. Once a month I check my mail and see this hot pink bubble mailer and it's like Christmas.

There are several different monthly subscriptions out there: beauty, home, food, pets. The list goes on. I have tried different beauty ones to see which one I think is best and my personal opinion is Ipsy. The cost is great and you always get great full size products to try out. I will post a photo and items list each month when I get it.

When you sign up you take a quiz that lets them know more about you, your skin type, hair type and style. There are usually different products and colors each month so you may get something a little different than someone else.

Here is my June bag:

The theme this month is "On the wild side". They have a cute little theme each month that the bag and products tend to go along with. Here is the list of products in my bag this month.

NYX Mosaic Powder Blush in "Dare" $7
Psssssst travel size dry shampoo spray $2.99
J. Cat Sparkling Cream Palette in SCP107 $4.49
Starlooks Lip Pencil in "Tickle Me Pink" $12
Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter Pencil $18
An awesome leopard makeup bag and a hot pink bubble mailer :)

As you can see, this bag is over a $40 value, for $10! All full size products, the dry shampoo is travel size and still large.

This is a great way for people who want to try new products and grow their makeup collection a little more.

Here is a link if you want to try it out!
(Sometimes there is a wait list, but it usually doesn't take very long to get in)

On another note, I am in LOVE with this polish. It is the perfect bubblegum pink for summer!

My Faves: Everyday face makeup

Wow it's hot! Summer has officially hit and I am not sure if I'm ready for it.
I like summer, when I'm in a pool or on the beach. I don't love running errands and feeling like I need another shower. So give me a pool and a drink and I'll be happy!

Today I'm going to talk about some of my favorite everyday face products I use when getting ready. This will include foundation, powders, primers, concealers, brushes and setting sprays. I have oily skin and I like a full coverage makeup, so I usually go for products targeted towards that. So let's get started!

Foundation

1- Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1, about $9
This foundation claims to have the long lasting power of primer, coverage of a concealer and blendability of a foundation all in one. I do have to agree. I bought this stuff because I heard it was a dupe for Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet +. I didn't know what to expect but I have to say it is my current fave! I have really oily skin and this foundation looks great all day and has great coverage!
2- Revlon Colorstay Whipped 24 hrs, about $11
I love this foundation as well. I will say I like this more in the colder months, it's a pretty heavy foundation. When you need a full coverage makeup that is going to stay put for a long time, here's the one! This foundation looks exactly the same after a full day, something I appreciate for sure.
3- (High end splurge) Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet +, $36
Just like I said, high end splurge. I really LOVE this makeup. I don't use it everyday though, but I wanted to add my fave high end one as well. This foundation gives you a flawless, matte finish that is perfect for an oily girl like myself ;)
4- Best Foundation Brush EVER, Sigma Flat Kabuki F80, $18 sigmabeauty.com
This brush perfectly applies and blends your foundation, I can't say enough good things about it. The cost is great for such a high quality product.

Concealer (under eye)

1- Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles, about $8
I enjoy this concealer because of the non mess "puff" applicator on top of it. Quick swipe and it's done. I think it does a good job of covering those dark circles I have most mornings. I am not a morning person...
2-Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Eye Concealer, about $10
I like this concealer because of it's creamy texture and it never creases on me which I appreciate! I hear it is being discontinued though, not sure if that's true...
3- bareMinerals Eye Brightener Concealer in "Well Rested", $18
I use this to set my under eye concealer as an extra little boost for brighter eyes and a bit more coverage.

Primer

Benefit The POREfessional, $30
This stuff is also a high end splurge but for someone with massively huge big pores like me it is worth every penny. I am not a primer fan. Primer + oily skin just don't mix. BUT....this one gives your skin a matte look and it seriously does shrink your pores, like right in front of your eyes, like magic! I'm all about it....

But, I have recently discovered this one that I am kind of thinking is going to take its place.
NYX Pore Filler, $12.99
The verdict is still out, but this stuff seems to be pretty much the exact same stuff as the Benefit POREfessional. I do love my Benefit though...

Face Powders

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder, about $5
This stuff rocks! Nothing compares so far in my book. Love it! A cheap price tag sweetens the deal for me too...
Elf Flat Kabuki, $6
Best powder applicator, cost and finish are perfect. Elf makes some pretty great products if you ask me. Which leads me to this powder:

Elf Studio HD Powder, $6
I put this on after my foundation and before my face powder and just on my T zone. This stuff is supposed to help control some of your shine throughout the day, I use it everyday without fail and I love it.

And last but not least, my holy grail product that I don't want to remember what life was like without it.... This bad boy!
Urban Decay De Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray, $14 or $29 (depends on size)
I spray this on my face after I've completed my foundation, powders and blush. Some people spray it on before they do their makeup and after, I haven't tried that though, just after. Everyone asks me why my makeup always looks the same all day, this is my trick I guess. It works, and it works well my friend.

I hope you enjoy my face faves, I sure do!

One more tip:

GO BUY THIS ICE CREAM, NOW.
You'll thank me, I promise.
My friend Jen introduced it to us today, safe to say I'm hooked. It will help cool you down on these hot summer days, totally justifiable.

Getting to know me tag: Beauty Blogger

Hi Everyone, I thought this would be a good starting point for my first blog! This is the "Getting to know me tag: Beauty Blogger!". I hope you enjoy :)

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
Ugh, very curly. Not a cute curly, a frizzy messy curly. I do not like my hair at all, that is a whole other story though!

2. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
I dye it myself. I know, I know. It's horrible for your hair. BUT I have a hard time justifying the cost to get my hair dyed professionally. The last time I had my hair cut the girl was telling me how healthy my hair was, then when she found out that I dyed it myself she went on about "Don't you know how horrible that is for you hair?!" Must not be that bad....

3. Do you wear the same style everyday, or do you change it?
This usually depends on my mornings. If I wake up feeling bright eyed I may put a little more work into it, like straightening or curling it. On a lazy day I like to go with an easy bun!

4. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
I do my own nails. I have a ton of nail polish, a little much maybe. I do get my nails done at the salon before a vacation so that it will last. I want manicured nails on vacation but I do not want to mess with the polish, so Shellac it is!

5. How often do you change your nail polish?
A polish only last me 3-4 days tops, so once or twice a week. I don't always keep polish on though, sometimes I go without. Any tips on products or tricks to keep polish would be appreciated!

6. Do you polish your toes in the winter or just the summer?
Mostly just the summer. They are hidden all winter and I get lazy, just being honest here.

7. How long does it take for you to put on makeup?
I like to put my makeup on, it's usually my favorite part of the day so on average I spend about 30 minutes on it. I can do it a little faster though, 10 minutes if I'm running behind.

8. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
Face. I should do my eyes first because I always manage to get fallout on my freshly done face. I may have to change my order soon!

9. Do you collect makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
Definitely collect. My hubby would LOVE it if I only bought what I needed. I just love makeup so much and I get sucked in very easy. I love to try new things and I love having a variety to pick from.

10. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
Never really, but I do love them. I have some and I like to wear them but I feel like in my part of the world wearing false eyelashes on a daily basis would just be odd. They are more for just going out around here.

11. Do you do a full face of makeup everyday?
Yes, If I am leaving the house I have a full face one.

12. Do you wear makeup when you're home alone or with family?
I don't wear makeup at home, I do if I am visiting family.

13. Will you leave the house without makeup?
Yes, but not very often. I feel so odd with no makeup on. A quick trip to the grocery store would be about the only place I would go. Oh and the pool of course.

14. How many high-end products do you have?
I haven't counted but I know I have more drugstore makeup than high end. I splurge more on high end eye shadows and palettes than anything else.

15. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you're getting dressed?
Both. Sometimes I pick it out the night before, sometimes I pick it out in my head before I get out of bed and sometimes I walk into the closet and stand there forever. I need to get better at picking it out the night before, it makes life easier.

16. How often do you change your handbag?
Not very often. I wear a bag for a good month or more before I rotate to another one.

17. What time do you wake up and go to sleep?
I wake up about 6:45 am but I don't get up until after 7 am. I go to sleep about 11 pm most nights.

18. How often or when do you workout?
I try to workout 3-4 times a week. Confession, I haven't been to the gym in about 2 weeks. Getting back on track this week is on my list of things to do!

19. Left handed or right handed?
Right

20. How tall are you?
5'6"

21. Do you speak any foreign languages?
Nope, I know a few words in Spanish but that is it! I would like to know other languages though.

22. How many pets do you have?
Two doggies, Bella is a Golden Retriever and Pixie is a Pekingese.

23. How often are you on Blogger?
I'm on Blogger everyday reading all my fave blogs but this is my first post!

24. Do you read comments posted on blogs?
Yes, I like to see what people have to say

25. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
Yup, I have a list in my phone. I don't let myself just run out and buy every single product I want to try. I have a wish list on my Sephora account and pick up drugstore products to try every once in a while.

26. How did you come up with your blog name?
It just popped in my head after a few days of thinking and jotting down ideas. I just liked it and it stuck.

Right now I just prefer to use my iPhone.

28. How often do you clean your house?
I do a good cleaning about once every 6 weeks. I sweep, tidy and clean counters about once a week. Just doing a little here and there is what works best for me. Doing everything at once is overwhelming.

29. What's your favorite color?
Pink for sure!

30. Do you swear?
Yes, but not very often. I'm doing better these days!

31. What are you doing with the rest of your day?
Laundry, watching a movie with the hubby and getting ready for another work week.

Thanks for reading!
